The Challenge

BDO wanted to improve talent retention by upskilling employees through a comprehensive English training program to create competitive advantage within the organization.

We worked closely with BDO to conduct a language needs assessment using a survey and English test to gauge current proficiency levels and decide on a tailored language learning solution to fit the organization’s goals.

In this case study, we explore how a flexible and adaptable English training program improved employee confidence and resilience when navigating business challenges, and enhanced organization-wide knowledge sharing.

Our impact

Participants reported a great user experience with the learning platform, and enjoyed the global classroom setting that enabled them to interact with other learners, practise their English language skills, and share industry-specific knowledge.

Learners felt the program equipped them with sufficient skills to pursue English language-based personal interests outside of the workplace, and they also felt the program improved their confidence and resilience when faced with business challenges in their roles at BDO.

A rich learning experience

A flexible and easy to navigate learning platform, and a global classroom setting made for a rich, collaborative learning experience.

Language skills that go beyond BDO

Participants felt the English language skills they learned went beyond their professional world to enhance their personal lives and interests.
